Rifah Industrial Home is imparting training courses up to certificate level in the discipline of Dress Designing and Making, Embroidery and Knitting. It has proper classrooms, equipped with required sewing machines, for these courses. 

Rifah Industrial Home is also registered with Punjab Board of Technical Education Lahore, Skill Development Council Islamabad and National Training Bureau Islamabad. The certificates are issued by Skill Development Council (SDC), Islamabad.

Every year, nearly 50 students are being trained in the three months and six months short courses of Dress Designing and Dress Making, Knitting and Embroidery, etc. Three instructors are serving currently enrolled 30 female students in various 3-month and 6-month vocational training courses of dress designing and embroidery.

Dress Designing & Dress Making Course: 

Females are taught Cutting, Sewing, Embroidery, Glass Paint, Fabric Paint, Doh work, R work, Tie and Dye etc. The course is of 6 months (long session) and 3 months (short session) duration. The classes are six days a week, for 4 to 5 hours daily. The ratio of theory to practical is 20:80. The minimum qualification for the course is middle. The course is very useful and the students can earn their livelihood when they qualify if they have sewing machines with them.
